Child Rights empowerment

The program targets vulnerable children towards promotion of their growth and development. It works with orphans and vulnerable children, their parents and guardians in raising their living standards towards fulfillment of the rights of children and the community.

1. Education project:
The project seeks to provide quality and affordable education and increase the enrolment to vulnerable children from the non formal settlements and urban refugee mainly from Somalia. The project works with Rev. Kareri primary school and other 85 community schools that are unable to receive government fund for free primary education.

2. Child Rights Empowerment Project:
The aim of the project is to enhance participation of children in promotion of their own rights through formation and strengthening of Child based structures and building capacity of community members to promote, protect and safeguard rights of children.


3. Orphans And Vulnerable Children Project:
The objective of the project is to promote care and support to orphans and vulnerable children. The project establishes and strengthens child based structures to handle children issues and supports and care of OVC’s.

  • The Skills Training Entrepreneurship Development program targets the most vulnerable youth from the non formal settlements of Nairobi to empower them through promotion of integrated skills training. The program uses an integrated training approach which incorporates technical skills training, entrepreneurship development and life skills.

  • Eastleigh community center is a faith based non-governmental organization. Over the years, Eastleigh Community Centre has been working towards improving living standards of the communities in non formal settlements of Nairobi through implementation of social, political and economic interventions. The centre identifies critical issues that concern target communities and translate them into short and long-term program.
